Nintendo 3DS game review: 'Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition'

Having thrown down on Apple's line of portable devices, Capcom brings its signature fighting franchise to the 3DS with Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. The console brawler fits very nicely on Nintendo's handheld, thanks to features and mechanics tailored specifically to the device.Wholesale Battery

Players choose between two control schemes: lite and pro. Both feature a combination of the circle pad (or directional pad) face buttons, shoulder buttons and the lower touchscreen.LASER POINTERS

Lite mode allows players to map special moves to one of four squares on the touchscreen. Pro mode maps button combinations such as simultaneous punch or kick button presses, leaving players to perform special moves using signature thumbstick gestures such as quarter- or half-circles.

Both the Super and Ultra combos -- explosive attacks that generate heaps of damage -- are mapped to the touchscreen as well. While the touchscreen features a preset selection of moves, players can map them to any attack they choose.

Surprisingly, the system works great. Flipping between buttons and a quick tap of the touchscreen feels comfortable. The circle pad is effective also, but it definitely won't offer the precision of a joystick or even the thumbstick on a console controller. However, it's solid, and certainly better than the touchscreen joysticks found on iPhone and iPad releases of Street Fighter.wholesale car accessories

The 3-D effects have allowed Capcom to unveil a whole new perspective to the fighting genre. Players can now view battle from an over-the-shoulder angle for extra depth. Players get a better sense of how far or close opponents are, and watching a foe jump toward you appears daunting.

Super Street Fighter IV is one of the only 3DS titles that features both local and online Wi-Fi matches, on top of Arcade and Versus modes. Challenge modes return as well, for players wanting to learn and master each characters's combos.

Capcom also introduces some other interesting modes that fit the 3DS well. A game sharing mode lets a friend play as Ryu without the need for a cartridge, while Figurine Mode is a meta-game where players collect figurines that automatically battle other players through StreetPass.wholesale products

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is one of the 3DS' best options, particularly for core video game players and fighting fans.
